I'm not a fan of limiting arcade access this way, but it's not my call. It's been pointed out several times that we're not pogo.com, the emphasis is on discussion and interaction, and not the arcade. But then we have quite a large number of games in the arcade, and they should be played, that's what they are there for.

We've already seen some negative side effects. There are people posting bullshit just to gain arcade access. I mean, tea or coffee? Can we get less inspired than that? And then we have these idiots that post but a bunch of zeroes just to get a quick arcade pass. Sure, we can delete their game scores from the last hour when they do this, but personally I'd rather just temp-ban than run after them cleaning shit up.

With this 5 post per hour we are pretty much soliciting for spam. I figure Dave will look into it if/when he returns.

Oh, and let's put feedback threads in the appropriate forum...

Hey there Core....relate to a lot of what you say, but if the stab over the tea or coffee thing was directed at me, it is a legit question right now as my son is doing a school project an I was helping him out.........IT WAS NOT a lame attemp at accessing the arcade.

While it does somewhat encourage spamming, we don't want "empty" members. If you're familiar with the TFP, which I think I remember you at least used to visit, they've implemented a post count restriction on the "Titty Board." Sure, it somewhat encourages spamming, but it lets people at least experience the community a little bit, kind of like a free trial. After that of course, they can just lurk and look at porn, but it sometimes gets them hooked.

Well imagine that place without the post restriction on the TB. There would be less active members, and a hell of a lot more lurkers leeching for free porn. Instead of charging money, they charge contribution to the community.
