According to Microsoft's Bryan Lee, Corporate Vice President & CFO Home & Entertainment, the Xbox 360 is slightly more powerful than the Sony PlayStation 3.
During the 33rd Annual UBS Global Media Conference, Microsoft's Bryan Lee, Corporate Vice President & CFO Home & Entertainment, stated that the Xbox 360 is slightly more powerful than the upcoming Sony PlayStation 3.
"With Sony if they do hit the specs which they've said they'll have there's a debate, there's a couple of categories where they outdo us, there's several categories where we outdo them. On balance I think most people who study the space will tell you our system is slightly more powerful then theirs from a hardware standpoint. But for the purposes of this discussion I think it's fair to say they're both Ferraris"
Lee reiterated Microsoft's expectations of 4.5 to 5 million units being shipped before June 30th 2006, with between 2.75 million and 3 million of these coming during the first 90 days.
I think ps3 is the better console. Just compare the hardware configurations of these two like RAM and processors. Soon, we would have all the good games for ps3 also and that will make it the most superior console.
Pfft, well yea, what would you expect? He's the president, of course he's gonna say the XBOX is better than the PS3. Which is not true, as anyone can attest.
xbox is favourite of many people but due to some other reasons. That does not mean that xbox is more powerful than ps3. If hardware features are considered then ps3 is definitely the better one.
One could tell this by simply playing games on both platforms. Personally I prefer the X-box 360 over the PS-3 because I am a Microsoft fan. It does not hurt though that the games are good and seem to work every time.
