On tuesday night I saw Symphony X live a Toad's Place. The Devin Townsend band opened.

The Devin Townsend band was awesome. The drumming especially. After they were done with their set and signing autographs, they watched Symphony X for awhile, and the drummer was standing right next to me.

Symphony X is fucking incredible. Russell Allen's voice is just as good live as it is on their CD's. Michael Romeo is a kick-ass guitarist. I didn't realize how good he actually was until I saw him live, watching his fingers move around the neck. Their bassist is good, though the drums drowned out what he was playing. Their keyboardist was good, though, again, he was drowned out by guitar, vocals and drums.

Overall, they kicked major ass. Especially when they played The Odyssey.

I love Symphony X, they are one of my top 4 fav bands. I have all there albums and looking forward to going when they come to my city. Where did you see them at?
