What are the best scarey movies out now to go rent from blockbuster? Me and my girlfriend recently saw The Relix and it was a joke. I need something thats action and not to devilish

Well,
Evil Dead I, II and III are cult classics. The 2nd and third especially have lotsa gore and comdey. I heard of one called The Grudge, which is originally japanese and it's being remade with some of the original cast with some american stars.
The Ring is all about atmosphere not action, it's best to watch it alone, it's also orginally japanese and was called Ringu (has 3 parts). If you can find Audition, I've never seen it, but I heard if you watch without knowing anything about it you will have quite an experience. These are all pretty good, you should enjoy them, of course unless you think Scream is a good horror flick ;)
Btw, go to www.amazon.com and search for one of these and then choose the listmanias which appear on the right side (you will see lists of good horror movies).

Hope this helped.

Dude, those are more like Slasher flicks than straight Horror... lol

Um, I like 28 Days Later. Recently saw that and I thought it was pretty good.

28 Days later was a damn fine movie. But to hell with movies, books is where it's at. Read Dreamcatcher by Ste(ph/v)en King.

I'm too sick to look up the proper spelling.

Default I see...

Sorry for my late reply...
If you mean evil dead and all I guess you're right(...slahser flicks). But the Ring is pretty good, I've had the japanese one with subs also but never got around to it.
Audition...should be good, but I have NO idea what it's about...I intend to keep things that way until I watch it. Anyways, I prefer psycholgical stuff instead of dumb horror flicks (e.g. scream, I know what you did..., and so on).
Stanley Kubrick's The Shining is old but, you gotta love some crazy Jack Nicholson , anyways I wanna watch many recommended horror films but I don't get the time. And most scary movies these days don't seem to...scare me. If you really wanna get scared, play Silent Hill 3, or 4 when it's out , of course the rules for those games: Lights out, volume way up, all alone, and don't blame me for nightmares .Sorry if I (swerved) away from the main topic here.
