old skool racing
I'm thinking of the great old skool arcade & console racing games? Pole Position and Bump N' Jump are pretty legendary, what else can you recall?

Those are nice games to play, but when you have in mind that there are games way better than that out there, you feel like you have wasted your life.
Good games though.

Yeah, but in the days of the 16 bit cabinet that's what was there.
Namco Rally-X, loved making two chasing cars crash behind me. I was soooo proud.

Yeah, the arrival of 16 bit allowed games like 1983's Crystal Castles to become possible in the arcades.
Road Blasters for NES and Atari Lynx handheld.

Kudos to Atari for releasing a 1989 color handheld that could generate such images, remember GB was b/w at the time with Tetris.
