No, I don't know how it works. I'm thinking about getting Diablo, but I still am not sure what I'm supposed to buy in order to be able to play it online. Diablo, Diablo II or one of these other things? Lord of Destruction? Broodwar, or something? Can someone explain this all to me in layman terms?

I played the Diablo II shareware demo, and it was pretty damn cool.

We barely play anymore, so if you're buying just to play with us, well, you'll be a little disappointed.

Anyways... The easiest way to go is to find the Diablo Battle Chest. The Battle Chest is a bundle, at a fairly good price at EB too, that includes Diablo, Diablo II, Lord of Destruction, and a Strategy Guide. Since a new patch came out though, the strategy guide might be a bit outdated. We play on Diablo II Lord of Destruction, realm USEast. Lord of Destruction is just the expansion with two new character classes and another act to quest in. Nonexpansions can't play in game with expansion players.

Haha, hell no! There are literally hundreds of thousands of players on the USEast Realm. We are three of those hundreds of thousands that just stopped playing. I just lost interest. Maybe I'll start playing more sometime, now that the patch is out.

There's a friends list that works just like a buddy list on battle.net that we used, and how we kept in contact when we wanted to meet somewhere.

1.1 is finally out from what I understand... so maybe when I get back to Irvine on Tuesday I'll download the patch and start playing it again.

Yeah, 1.10 came out what...a month ago? Something like that. Anyway, it's pretty good, no more rushing, it's a lot harder when you get to Hell mode, so be prepared.

I only stopped playing because of FFTA and THUG. But I don't think I'll start back up again...:-/

I stopped playing because it got boring, then I got hacked, so it was like a double bummer. 1.10 just doesn't seem fun to me either.
