Default realMYST 3D disabled by recent Windows Update

Hello, yesterday I was playing realMYST 3D, a totaly awesome remake of the
original Myst game by Cyan, and everything was working perfectly. Then
Windows Update for my Windows XP Pro downloaded three updates, I told it to
install them, and I rebooted. Since that time the game will not run. I run
the program file, the screen goes black for a few seconds, and then goes
right back to the windows desktop. The same thing happens to my dad's
windows xp pro computer, which is the exact same model as this one. I know
for a fact that this game has not been changed, all of it's files are in
tact, I know this because I use a checksum generator to create checksums for
my files, which I can check later. They all check out.

I have only been able to remove one of the updates, KB901214, which has not
fixed the problem. The game still will not run. As far as I am concerned,
Windows XP Pro can bite the dust, but, I need it too much to get rid of it,
so, I have to deal with stupid stuff like this from time to time.

Can anyone help me get my game running again? I would greatly appreciate it.

Here are the three updates downloaded on 07/14/2005:

Security Update for JView Profiler (KB903235)
A security issue has been identified that could allow an attacker to
compromise a computer running Microsoft Internet Explorer and gain control
over it. You can help protect your computer by installing this update, which
sets a registry key that blocks attempts to take advantage of this issue.
After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - July 2005 (KB890830)
After the download, this tool runs once to check your computer for infection
by specific, prevalent malicious software (including Blaster, Sasser, and
Mydoom) and helps to remove any infection found. If an infection is found,
the tool will display a status report the next time you start your computer.
A new version of the tool will be offered every month. If you want to
manually run the tool on your computer, you can download a copy from the
Microsoft Download Center or run an online version from microsoft.com. This
tool is not a replacement for an anti-virus product. To help protect your
computer, you should use an anti-virus product.

Security Update for Windows XP (KB901214)
A security issue has been identified in the Color Management Module that
could allow an attacker to compromise your Microsoft Windows-based system and
gain control over it. You can help protect your computer by installing this
update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart
your computer.
