Fable: Lost Chapters error
Im running a P4, with an ATI Radeon 900 Pro, and 512mb of ram. After
installing Fable on my PC it says an error occured and I should run it in
safe mode. Everytime I try running it in safe mode I get a windows error with
Fable. I tried uinstalling it and I get the same thing. Fable isnt a part of
the game section in support so im unable ot start chat request. A little
help in this problem would be much apprecated.

RE: Fable: Lost Chapters error
I got exactly the same error. Since many people experienced this error so
far, an official statement from Microsoft would be very helpful.

RE: Fable: Lost Chapters error
I have the same problem. Have not found any help on any forum.
I cannot even get to the opening screen.
Microsoft, Lionhead, where are you?

RE: Fable: Lost Chapters error
I get this message too, something about a C++ error? I really would like help
with this, to see if I need to take this game back or not. There is no help
AT ALL which I think is disgraceful. The game even tells us to come to this
site, where there is nothing to help with this issue!

RE: Fable: Lost Chapters error
Yeah, well don't worry if you ever do get it working the damn game crashes
to the desktop and/or locks up during "scene" transitions. (i.e. wherever it
would load.)
Why in the hell isn't there any kind of real support anywhere on Microsoft's
or LionHead's sites?
Trying to play this game in infuriating! It's horribly broken and I can't
find any link where I can click on to return the damn thing.
Anyone know the secret way to talk to someone at MS so I can return the
thing and get my money back?
Thanks,
--Gary

Re:Fable: Lost Chapters error
Well, I hope this answer works for all of you, i had the same problem with
mi barely new fable Game.
I spend lots of hours to find some clues that might help to know why I
couldnt play Fable.
Here's what I Found: If you are running Windowblinds all you have to do is
unload the skin of your windows, I did it and it worked! now i can play
Fable. I think you can try disabling windows Xp theme also if you dont have
windowblinds program and give it a try, maybe it works.
I also found that some people cuold fix this problem by setting their
monitors on a different frecuency, from 60Hz to a lower one or a higher one,
you may also can try this and see if it works for you.
Hope my research helped you!!!

RE: Fable: Lost Chapters error
Exactly. I've been through everything on that
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;303032 page twice (or more) with
no success. The game is unplayable as it sits.

Re:Fable: Lost Chapters error
Can you please explain what you mean "unload the skin of your windows?" I
don't understand. Also, I don't understand "Windowblinds." I'm hoping that
if I don't know what it is, I'm not using it. Thanks.
