Nvidia cards enable you to change settings for games. Right click on an
open space of your desktop, choose properties. You are now in the video
properties, click on the settings tab, then on the advanced button. You
should see a tab for your card (geforce). click there and go to the
'performance and quality setting'. the options are manifold, from
changing antialiasing to negative LOD. Sometimes the anisotropic (have I
spelled it right?) setting does the trick. You might have to try various
settings until you find the right one. Oh yes, this tip would apply for
your problem BEFORE applying the patch. Try installing again without the
patch and playing with the settings.
