Default Some game installers with WinXP SP2 just hang up and stop respondi

2 of them that I have ran into so far are Fire Warrior and Return to Castle
Wolfinstine. Both worked fine before putting in SP2, but now they just hang
up and stop responding before the install process even begins.

Let's try a couple of things to get that working for you again:

1. Startup your system in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 repeatedly
while your system is booting up after you've shut down your system

2. Log in with an account you've created as a "Computer Administrator"
account that you'll use to play the game. (Don't use a Limited account)
