I need help, I'm not technical and have tried all sorts of things to put this
right, since my son installed Rome total war and Medievil war I have had not
end of problems. I installed a video card to suit and downloaded direct x9.
I have had problems ranging between not internet connection to complete
system shut down and dump. Can anyone help or has anyone had the same
problems. The latest problem is that direct x9 is showing as not installed,
but it is!

1. Go to the Windows Update site for everything under Critical and
Recommended: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
I especially recommend you update or reinstall Service Pack 2

2. Update your Chipset, Sound, and Video Drivers:
