While playing fs2004 "century of flight" I noticed that the game and
computer "hangs" and I must do a manual shutdown of the system and reboot.
This only happens when i use the 747. Recently, I downloaded the airbus 340
and use the 747s cockpit and guages and it happens also. Does anyone know
exactly what the problem is and if i can patch it? I dont want to download
the update from microsoft because it does not support third party add-ons.
Matter of fact I removed the update for that reason! Any information
would be greatly appreciated.

Did this happen before you installed the A340?

What do you mean the update does not support add-ons - what
errors/problems have you seen?

What kind of problems do you have with the update? You need it, I
don't know of any add-on that does not work with it now, the few
having troubles having been updated a while ago...

It seems rather that your system is locking up because of a sound
called from that panel, did you run dxdiag.exe and go through all the
tests? Try to lower the sound acceleration, also post back your system
information, can't help much without it.
