Default frame rate display

whenever i play a game the frame rate of the game is displayed in the top
right corner in yellow and if it is zero then it is red how can i make the
frame rate disappear

Hi Ace,

It depends on the game. For example to turn FPS status on/off
in Halo you just need to press CTRL+F12. I hope that helps!

its all games dat i play - not a certain game

i used 2 have home edition which didnt do this but i recently installed
media center 2005 which is doing this

this is a laptop - the pc doesnt do this and it has the same windows installed

Do you have any software running that would cause this?
FRAPS for example will display your FPS onscreen.

all i did was install windows media center 2005 and installed all the drivers
from the company site as i bought it off a company

it must be fraps, i agree.
if you want to get rid of it destroy fraps.exe in task manager

Sounds like those drivers you downloaded included an application
which is running in the background to show you your FPS then..
