Default AOM Beaches and Sea

Finally I've got the game running, now I'm wondering about the graphics.
The beaches end very curvy at the sea..And the sea itself is very blue, but
sometimes seethru

Basically squares change the appearance of the sea when I move ships around.
Strangely it seems to only relate to the sea and the beaches...

Is there some finetunning possible?

thanx, Jasper

With my installation it was a problem with an NVidia update. I can't
remember which driver was the problem but it's fixed in the latest
version.

That's interesting.

In my experience
45.23 was OK.
61.77 had a problem.
77.22 is OK.
