Default Are you ready to take the blame?

If you have an obese child, it is none of the child's fault.Parents should be ready to accept the blame of spoiling child's habits and health. There is a program on Discovery-....we are killing our kids. That is a must watch and it s a good eye opener. Please do watch it.

What's also causing the problem is the fast food industry with their dollar meals. These meals are enticing to people with small food budgets so they go in grab their junk-loaded food with no nutritional value and then bloat up.

The problem is that the parents don't let the kids, or rather don't make them get out there and lose a few pounds.

Kids are to blame as well, I'm slightly overweight but I don't let myself get obese.

Smile Obesity in children

My son was about 10 lbs overweight. I took him to the doctor for a physical, and that is when I got the news. I found monitoring his food was the best way to help him; and limiting soda, fruit juices, and pizza. It took about six months but he has lost weight.

Six months? I lost 30lbs in a single month walking three miles there and three miles back to the bookstore every other day.

Walking does a lot of good, seriously.

I feel like the teen agers are very bad in their food habits. Girls do not eat and say they are in a diet. Actually it may further spoil their health. Skipping lunch, dinner and having too much of junk food is not acceptable. parents must make their children aware of the consequences of these problems.

Sure, parents should take the blame for obese children but there's a point in a child's life where he should now be capable of making decisions for himself. At that point the blame is passed. A parent can't blame an 8 year old kid for being obese and it's quite ridiculous for a 20 year old obese kid to keep blaming his parents.

Yes that is true, I am referring to younger kids only, when you are adult you are responsible for your actions. One thing is for sure that parents should try to inculcate healthy habits in their kids.
