Anything below 128 kb/s is low quality. Period. It can't sound good.

I used to use iMesh and Kazaa together. iMesh has a really good variety of movies, I downloaded many a film back in the day. Kazaa I used for music and "other purposes.";)
Now I just use Bearshare. I don't download movies anymore, though it has them if I want to. It has a good amount of music, no spyware or anything, and a large variety of "other stuff."

Is DC like Imesh or Kazaa?
Winmx looks like it was made by a couple of teenage geeks

My computer screwed up for a few days...
Here's a little info on DC++, http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/. Btw, in Kazaa for example when I go at full speed it's like 60 kb/s. Does bearshare have enough users for that ?
And same question for Imesh, how is its speed ?
Btw, choose the .401 installer version if you want to try DC++...it needs a little setting up at its first run.

I haven't used iMesh in a long time, but I don't remember having a problem. And Bearshare's good, if you can start downloading. A lot of the files have trouble connecting and beginning the download.

I see, that rules out bearshare for the moment. I'll try Imesh. For MP3s, and I might find the movie "Pi" there.
