ok so this is not completly on topic but different universes got me thinking...
if there are people some where 5 lightyears away and they can see us on earth...but they see us and what we are doing 5 years ago(our time). Supposedly thats true^

But anyways, As I replied in that thread for some reason thinking that it was the time travel thread, I still dont get how miles and kilometers could equal years.

Its my bad, I didnt pay attention to the thread title and stuff.

to anwser your miles kilomter thing it easy. time is measured by the sun so in order to

go back in time we would supoeadly have to go faster then the speed of light. as

theroized by Einstein. and the speed of light is 290,000 kilometers per second. and in

case you were woundering a light-year is the distance light travels in a year.

does no one want to discuss time any more? Even what they could do if some one invented a time machine? At least watch the back to the future trilogy to get some insporation.

lets discuss where i would go if a time machine were to be invented.

I would go back to the time I was born..and if I was aware of the future, I could change alot of things to make things right...man that would be awesome.

but if you were at the time you were born how could you tell yourself what to change?

time travel would be sweet.

I saw this really cool show like 4 or more months ago. I wish I could remember more. The episode was about time travel and the theory Einstien made and how modern physics is evolving and adding to time travel theories. I don't remember too well so I could be wrong.
In a way, if you travel fast enough, others around you would travel slower from your point of view. So if you move fast enough you would reach a time ahead of others. It was really cool, darn I'd like to see it again.
