Not really..
But speaking of getting sued..If i point to my old thread in the archives. (Its somewhere in there)
Its like $10,000 for every song they find on your computer if they catch you. I simply cannot afford that, or go to jail. They will use me like money there

I doubt it's that bad. Anyways, you should always have an emergency plan if you do download. Although I don't understand how they arrest people. Maybe with help from ISPs..If you're afraid always put them on CDs. Simply put those CDs in other boxes of original Music Albums you have. I mean I doubt they're gonna search your house. Anyways, where I live I can't get sued for that thankfully. Atleast not yet.

Well actually. Selling bootlegs is illegal. There are many shops that sell bootleg CDs. Music, games, DVDs...etc. I once remember where I usually buy my games, there was a bust. Many stores had their CDs thrown out in the trash. It was like HUGE stacks of CDs. Their were back to business soon enough. But for example, people don't get to go to jail for buying this stuff.
As for downloading, you can do it all you like too. I once remember asking my ISP for help. Since my connection was a little slow. And he asked if I had Kazaa turned on. Nobody cares. They might make some laws against this. But I doubt that will be soon. Mostly, people who get busted selling bootleg CDs are the ones that sell porn and stuff like that.

Porn is a no-no there. Its really religious..I guess..thats how S.A is. But the thing about S.A and Kuwait is that if you try to take these bootleg/pirate Dvd/Cd's, they dont do anything to you..atleast from what I remember, but they take your dvd/cd's and burn* them.

Well, maybe in S.A. In Kuwait they don't burn what you own. They don't even touch it. Unless you hide lotsa porno DVDs in a bag with an intent to sell them for example, when coming from another country. Whenever my mother visits Russia, she brings me loads of music CDs. My grandma is there now and she's coming back on the 15th. I gave her a list of 30+ CDs. And maybe 5 anime DVDs. I thought the anime might be a russian version so I only asked for a few. She's bringing some magazines too, Games/Anime mag with lots of extras on two cds and cool posters. Plus, they don't censor unlike the arabic magazines here. Though I can the English ones here, but I don't bother. I sometimes get NEW TYPE at an anime store here though.
Btw, today I read in the news paper that ten stores were busted where I usually buy games. They took away 8,000 CDs and DVDs, but many stores there are still working and those will be back soon maybe, or someone will buy their store and make their own. In that complex there's like 25+ stores. As well as a few anime shops. Most of them know how to hide their bootlegs though.

Not really, they busted the shops. They won't do anything to the people that buy the CDs. Like me.

Bad news if you try to come to the U.S with the CD's. They actually first arrest and lock up, then question/fine. Its not a good sight
But the softwares are so expensive!!!
Its like.. Studio MX - $800 +
Adobe Photoshop 7 - $600 +
^ CRAZY PRICES
