Default A good Deed gives good rewards

I had a interesting night last night; Last night, at work, I'm suppose to close the Information Desk at 11 PM. Around that time, a man came over and he wish to buy 30 gift cards (Pre-Paid Visa cards). I told him that the shop is closed and ask him to come again the next morning; He told me he's going to California tomorrow and won't be able to do that. So, I figured, staying about 20 minutes over closing won't be that bad, so I offered to work some overtime to help him out (even though I don't get paid to do it, plus the fact, I don't get commisson or anything).

He was surprised that I did that, and he ask for my resume and information. Turns out, He's the Senior Marketing Director for Cingular Wireless, and he's offering me a sales position next month at a new branch opening in my neighborhood. He admired how I went out of my ways to help customers.

In the end, due to technical difficulties, we were doing that transaction till 12:30 am, after that, he offered me a ride home and explain to be the benifits of working at Cingular Wireless.

Pretty neat, one thing lead to another. I was wondering if you had these experiences before, doing something out of your bounds and got something good out of it. (which reminds me of the time I called a taxi for an old lady, and I got a dollar tip afterwards...^^)
