Default Do you send SMS to your friends.

These days the younger generation keep on sending SMS to their friends. I find it so tedious and so very boring. Is it comfortable to press those tiny buttons,Do you also type and send messages to your friends. I prefer calling the other person.

I just plain hate texting. I'm just not good at it. It has its uses though so I guess it was worth learning how to.

when i was still a teen, i used to love sending messages to my friends. but then when i grew older, i am not fond of it anymore. i also prefer to call them because it's very tiring to keep on sending messages.

I'll send a text message but only if I know it's not a good time to call the person I'm trying to contact. Then they can call me back at their convenience.

well, sms is cheaper than calls. i usually do not call because it is very expensive. but if it is very important and an emergency, i won't hesitate to call.

I don't text as much as I use to, but I like it. When you call someone, it's no guarantee that they will be available to talk. When you send a text message, they can read and respond when they have time. Also, you can hold conversations with different people within a small amount of time. It's also a bit more private. You don't have to worry about someone listening to what you're saying. I think that's the main reason why young kid like it. They can hold conversations about anything without their parents listening.

What amazes me is watching these kids who text message without giving it a second thought. They are as fast on the phone pad as I am on a keyboard.

i agree. and when you have something important to say but that person is very busy, you can just send him/her a message then she can read it if she has time. you will not worry whether he/she can answer you back.

Personally, I don't send Text or SMS messages from my cell phone; I have a hard time just figuring out how to send, much less receive SMS messages, and the smallish keys are also a pain to deal with.

I do, if someone requests it, send SMS messages from Yahoo Messenger; I try to do so only if asked because they cost the recipent money to get.....
