Checking Thread dates!!

:wave: Hey all...as Dave pointed out in a rescent post...there have been times that we have re-activated needless older posts. I have been guilty of not looking at the date and responding as well. How about we all take special care to watch the dates of the threads we post on so this does not happen again. I am not saying you cannot activate an older post if you have something interesting and new to add to it...but Threads like BULLITEN :rolleyes: that we all were posting in is a usless old thread ( and I replied so I am guilty too) and could be percieved by the Admin as posting in order to use the Arcade.
I will make sure that I do my part to make this work, and I would appreciate it if you all tried as well.

I have no problem with bumping old threads as long as there's something worthwhile to add to the discussion. There's no point in welcoming someone to the boards who registered over a month ago (as an example).

Also, nobody likes double posts unless the thread has completely disappeared and you're bringing it back up due to an important update. If you find things to change in a post you made today, or anytime recent, (not speaking to anyone specific), use the edit ( ) function on the right of your posts.

I just use New Posts button to see whats up.

I answer em all, and im done. If new posts dissapear somehow, I just answer the posts that have been answered to in the past week. If not, I move on.

If its very important to me, I subscribe to it. I have not done so to any thread except one I think back a long time ago.

Because it's nice to keep all old things, just in case some things do change or need to be edited and whatnot. Also, we don't want to prevent people from bumping old threads, if they're contributing something meaningful.

I say after a while, send those old threads to the archives...the "good ole' days"
