Sites last server move - Video Games Forum

Over the last few months Bluegoop has suffered for a few reasons. The biggest reason has been our hosting company, Basically they are not very good and we are having problems with the site going down, recently it has been almost daily.

So we will be moving the site to one of my servers. The hosting is excerlent, I have a few sites on these servers and they have never gone down. Dave will update when he know more when he will do this.

Dave has bought me in to help get things moving on this once popular site. Moving the site is the first step we need to take, This will be the last server move.

As soon as the site is moved to a new server I have a few plans for this site which im sure you will like. Keep watching this space

Files have been downloaded from the site now, my next phase is uploading the files to the new server and importing the databae.

I will post the next update when im done. Again, thanks jcb for letting us use your server. This place is really about to go to higher grounds this summer.

files have been uploaded to new server, now awaiting database upload then switch of ip's

Okay I had a shacky weekend, I do apologize to you all. It's sunday I've slept all day, database transfer will resume on Monday morning, my only day off from work.

UPDATE: Database will be uploaded to the server tomorrow, after this we will make the switch to the new server

Note to self

1.) Upload database
2.) Contact Tech Support to Import Database
3.) Switch over to nameserver and route from old to new

welldone dave, after you upload the database it might be an idea to close the forum board? That way if anyone posts we wont lose any posts.

on the new server now, lots of errors to clean up as well as DNS still needing to propagate

I am working through fixing a few errors now. As soon as we fix all the errors we can start to working to getting this site back to a popular site that it once was
