Shane, with all due respect...

I disagree. Because once you own the rights to a big board (albeit an old site) you can revive it by breathing new life into it. All you would need is either a marketing plan, or plain ol' merging with an active site.

Brian still owns NintendoFire, and I bet the hits are still rising each time. When google sees that a domain name used to be popular, you can still revive it, regardless of how "dead" it seems. Last time I talked to him, the domain was banned, and he told me he got it unbanned...

Its not going to come quickly, you HAVE to work at it.

It IS a challenge to move a new site, anyway. It'd take years for that to happen. Unless you have gads of cash to pull it off.

Merging is pointless. You might kickstart this place and get new members who all start at the same time so they don't feel alienated, but you won't get any more then a few old members. But whatever.

Agree with Carlos. This place is getting kickstarted. It would be great if old members come back. If things work out, they may well.

Shane you share the same negativity that most BGoop members are exhibiting.

To make a sale of a site more attractive to future buyers, you need to be confident about the site. Just like you would if you were dating a girl.

Hypedave was confident that this site would get sold to the highest bidder.

You need to put some faith in here. And show confidence in the place, you've been posting here for a long time, and so have your fellow friends.

Merging isn't pointless if you buy a site that has a mainpage and a forum database.

BG has a mainpage, and a blog...but you need something stronger than just a portal frontpage. Why do you think Omega buys sites? Because its a smart marketing and business move.

BTW, the banner is almost done.

What up guys, what up, what up. Just thought I'd drop a line or two in. If any help is needed in reviving this place you know how to reach me. I haven't been involved in online communities since 2005 but im back now.

Damn, that's jazzy! And may just match the new site color as well.

Guess what!? Omega was ALL for the sale to him. He was ready to purchase.

Fucking great, Just fucking great.

To the owner: Hello, I don't think we've met yet, but I'm Carlos, and I am advertising guru, website owner, and knowledgable negotiator. I have worked with many companies over the years now, and have helped companies advertise their business/websites, and consulted them through plans. I am also known for good sales. Xbox Evolved was recently purchased by E-mpire courtesy of me.
Because it was worthless. How many people were actively posting here at the time? There was no longer a community. Like someone said, the site was on it's knees after the GamerzGoop split. I had Dave's back the entire time and it wasn't my decision to not merge with e-mpire. There were other plans. Everything has happened for a reason. I even would've helped out the new owner had he given me any of his time, but then I left because I do not have the time anymore, because my personal life is far more important than an inactive online community. I don't see how any of that was any of your business though.

I appreciate you putting those words in my mouth though. The importance of the e-world truly makes me sob. Your tone really helps ignite the negativity that many have against you, but I won't go there. Just keep talking down to everyone and telling the admin what to do because you know better. Maybe you can be my financial advisor too.
