I can only see this new skin in general disscusion and no where else? It's... quite odd...

On every other board im still seeing the old skin.

I think it's replaced this skin, but only in the Bluegoop Lounge, so you're only supposed to see it there.

I like the new skin. But there is nothing wrong with this one.

There's also nothing wrong with running 2 skins.

It's a bit odd... sure you could have the same skin with different colours or something, but a completely different skin on just one board is kinda strange...

Actually, it isn't strange in the least bit. A lot of boards, when working on a new skin, apply the skin to one or two forums, as opposed to applying it to all of them, until it's finished. Using the skin on one forum, especially one as active as the Lounge, allows Dave to work out the odds and ends of the skin, while giving the rest of us a very welcome preview of what's to come. Furthermore, lots of folks including yours truly have been bitching about the old skin not working well with Firefox/Mozilla, and seeing as the new skin works much better with it, it also makes us whiners feel like we've been heard and things are in motion. Not to mention that this way we can offer input on what's good and what's not so good about the new skin.

Now what's the problem with this, again?

couldn't have said it better my self. We are slowly working on some behind the scenes stuff. Much needed maintenance being taken care of, the arcade issue is being taken care of as well, so just give it time.
