Social networking shows a significant growth in population all over the world. Social network groups such as Friendster, Facebook and MySpace catches much of people's attention and interests especially seeking for new acquaintances.

What do you think about these social networking phenomenon?

Actually there is lot of craze for all these social networking setups.People, I think love to add up more and more to their friend's list.I am not clear about the basic concept, but lot of people are into this, may be it is good time pass.

Hmm, adding up people you don't even know in your friend list? Well I guess popularity is one factor we can't cross out. And one thing you didn't mention I think is 'online chatting', like Ym, Camfrog and the like. I used to spend my free time on those.

Now more and more people are getting part of social networks either to findfriends or to promote their projects. I consider it good because it makes people more social and aware about the things happening around them.

Most people consider it good but some take it as a bad influence on some people. Like for example, instead of having social life on the real world, you are concentrating more on the internet. Some minors even engages sexual activities via internet.

I like the concept of social networking because it allows me to keep in touch with friends and family who may be spread throughout the country or the world. Just the other day I found a guy I went to high school with. I was surprised to discover he has lived in Russia and is currently living in China. Without social networking, I would have never known that.

That is right that you can keep track of even long lost friends.Another advantage is if you are supposed to promote your product. That way this networking is something great. I don't understand when it comes to chatting or getting acquainted to unknown people, what is the fun,when you are not aware who exactly is on the other side.

Facebook has come in handy for me while my son is over in Taiwan. I've been able to get to know some of the families he's met. One family even threw him a surprise birthday party after I told them when his birthday was. So in that way, social networking was great.

I don't have any accounts for any of those mentioned but I think social networking is great. I'll probably get into those, I have trouble keeping in touch with friends.
