Can anybody tell me whether game pad is compatible with windows vista or not. I just bought a game pad which i want to use with my windows vista but it is not detecting it. Thanks

Check at the website of the manufacturer and see if there are any drivers for Vista. If not then your out of luck. Vista was designed to be a new starting point for OS's.

Are you sure it's not detecting and the problem's not the lack of hardware driver? Either way you should check with whoever sold you the gamepad.

Most of the device has a box that is saying where it is compatible. Check the box if it is Vista is listed on it.

Just to be sure, you might want to ask the vendor next time if the device is compatible with your operating system. I do this most of the time.

Ahhh....the joys of MS Vista. Another reason to stay with XP if you ask me. My guess is that it's probably an issue with a driver but with Vista you just never know.

I do agree I would still recommend using XP. There have been a lot of drawbacks from Vista try to use XP maybe that would solve the problem. Goodluck.

If the game pad you have is latest version of the Microsoft company or any other renowned company, it should surely work. If not then most probably it won't work.
