The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker is only days away from being introduced in Japan. The cel-shaded glory will be making its way to the land of the rising sun December 13th. The title has been topping "most anticipated" charts in Japan for months on end. Ever since the release date for Zelda approached, hardware sales for Nintendo have been rising dramatically. Japanese have already flocked to local retailers to pre-order the title, all of them quenching for the bonus games attached with The Wind Waker.
In a recent press conference, Shigeru Miyamoto commented on The Wind Waker. The title takes place 100 years after Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Link has just saved the triforce from Ganondorf who has been sealed in a portal. The Link that stars in The Wind Waker is supposedly not the same 'Link' in Ocarina of Time. Link and Ganon are supposed to symbolize good and evil.
Like the name suggests, the new Zelda title is focused much on Wind. Miyamoto has wanted to use the element of wind for a while now but was restricted due to hardware capabilities.
According to Miyamoto, an expert gamer will be able to finish the game in 10 hours. This translates to 40 - 50 hours for a beginner game if played without any assistant from walk through, hints or cheats. Shigeru also 'commented' on Ura Zelda saying that it has been overly hyped and does not offer as much as most people are expecting. Miyamoto did NOT deny reports for the bonus discs coming to USA or/and Europe but did not confirm it either.
