Also, in the 1980s, nobody knew exactally how AIDS was transfered or what caused it. At first, it was just the "gay plauge" since most cases were amoung gay men. At that point, they could not have prevented it either, since they didn't know how to.
Also, condoms aren't foolproof. They don't always work. You can have all the safe sex ya want, but you're still at risk for AIDS.

Those people I mentioned probably don't have adequate measures to prevent AIDS, or they don't know anything about it because they are almost entirely 3rd world countries. So my statistic was fairly accurate.

Gun, I must say that I find your outlook apalling.
Fight both, because they are both threats. The only difference between AIDs and Cancer is that we know how to treat forms of Cancer, but can't even treat AIDs, much less cure it.

i think we should have more commercials on AIDS, more school classes on AIDS, and just more overall "know about AIDS, know how to prevent it, how to get it." we need some in-your-face shit that can get to teens having sex.
though, cancer should be paid attention to more.

Face it okay, AIDS is preventable, don't have sex until your married or get the person tested before hand. Use a rubber! Dont' do drugs, if you do sterilize the frickin needle. If you have AIDS don't have sex, don't have kids. There we go end of story.
Cancer is somewhat preventable, just watch what you eat, dont' smoke, don't drink etc, but cancer is less preventable then AIDS.
What pisses me off is that people purposely spread AIDS because they're pissed that they have it and want to go on with their dirty sex lives.
