WTFFFFFFFF?????? Just because there is only one type of AIDS and even though it is one of the most preventable disease in the world means that it should get more attention?? I dont think so...the fact that there are hundreds of types of Cancer should be a reason for people to take more attention to it than AIDS.

Well, my point is a cure of AIDS will save a lot more lives than a cure of one type of cancer.

WTH? I would like to see the research where it states that there are more people with AIDS (who couldnt have prevented it) than people with Cancer. I dont give a shit about people who could have prevented AIDS that are infected with it(unless the come from countries where they are not informed of AIDS) because they are the fucking loosers that put themselves in that situation in the first place.

One thing you're missing is that Cancer is an internal, genetic flaw. .

AIDS is a virus. These are two entirely different arenas, two different kinds of medicine, and the funding for one over the other is not comparable. .

By the way, roughly 6,500 people die of AIDS in Africa everyday, and 20 million have died up until this point. Something like 69 Million people are infected in Sub-Sahara Africa alone.

Yes, I said one TYPE of cancer. AIDS effects more people than any one type of cancer. I'm not sure if it beats out cancer altogether, since those numbers are hard to figure.
Also, "reckless" sexual behavious is, well, reckless. But we're all reckless people who do reckless things. Just because a person has a lot of sex doesn't make them a made person... Besides, you can get AIDS from having sex with anybody.
I'm not advocating casual sex, in fact, I'm personall against it... but it's not like it's something that only the evil scum of the earth the deserve to die for their sinful sodomy do.

I think these diseases,amongst others, deserve LESS attention,I dont think that the people who have diseases deserve to turn on TV,and see stuff about those diseases,they just want to forget about these and get on with their lives..

No, Darth isn't being stupid... I agree with him on that. Teenagers aren't really even the ones spreading AIDS, mostly... Most teenagers do not have AIDs, as if you get it from a parent, you likely get it young. So you would have to have sex with older people who had it to get it.

Actually, there isn't just "one" AIDS, as the protein that tricks the body into producing antibodies can take probably something like 50 or so different forms that, in terms of vaccine and prevention, would have to be addressed, as the AIDS virus is unique in that the standard method of prevention in vaccine, would simply be to introduce derivatives of the virus in order for the body to produce antibodies that could destroy the harmful proteins that are produced in RNA forms, but AIDS can create innumerable different amounts of proteins, which can thus destroy those antibodies. It is effectively armed against Human virus protection.
