Default You guys have to help me!

My PS2 all of the sudden is not ejecting. The lights are working. Everything seems normal and proper, but it's not ejecting.

I don't have warranty or anything. So I'll have to fix it myself. The question is, how?

Any help from you guys, or a link where I can find help somewhere on the internet is appreciated.

happened to me. if this is happening because you have a vertical stand, take it down and lie it on its side....it should pop out now.

I find having it vertically causes a lot of problems in the long run. You should have it horizontally all the time if possible.

yes--the horizontal stand only causes problems. the game is liable to fall and jam the disk drive.
just put it down flat, and try it.

having the playstation vertical does not cause any more damage than horizontal. the only way the disk would fall and jam the disk drive is if something happened to the entire playstation, i.e. it falls. ive had my playstation vertically for over a year and not one problem has occured, while my friends have theirs horizontally, and have had numerous problems. it all depends on how well you take care of it, making sure it doesnt fall, putting the game in correctly, ect.

it may be a small fee, but it'll be worth it for your PS2. It'll come back all nice in a box, well protected, so dont worry about it getting further damaged. that might be your best option

any attempt at taking it apart may result in further damages, costing you more in the long run. send it to sony to get it repaired.
