That sucks. I live about 70 miles away from NYC, fortunately far away enough that nukes won't hurt me.

I've explained time and time again as to the necessity that is inherent to such an operation. No only was it, at this point, ineluctable, but it is needed in order to reshape the process of worl order. The U.N. has been proven ineffective because it is a body that has many smaller parts, and these smaller parts are functioning in thought of themselves at the loss of the group. France, Germany, Russia, the U.S. and Britain are some who have done this, but I believe that we are finally taken the first steps towards reshaping how things work. There needs to be constant evolution, and we have evaded facing the source of the problem whether it be the horrifying deaths of thousands of Kurds in Northern Iraq or the funding benefits that he has given to terrorist groups that have expressed their deep hatred and jealousy for the United States and other free, Democratic nations around the world. Like poison from the veins, war will be our leech. Some people may view it as a gruesome and mortifying prospect, but in reality, it is very real. and at that, it is a necessary and sometimes helpful part of the world order. It would be folly to ignore this. .
Some people have laid claim that the human mind has developed beyond the need for war. in some ways this is true, as we have developed more effective theories of negotiation, but the truth is, in order to make that next step, we have to root out those characteristics, those genes, that poison as I have said, that is keeping the rest of the world from moving forward. Quite simply, Saddam Hussein has committed some of the worst crimes of war in history, next to people like Hitler and Pol Pot. Would you have liked to see these people remain in power for more than 12 years after you were aware of the genocidal and perverted methods that they were practicing in their countries? He needs to be removed, if not on account of the current world status, then in the name of those who lost their lives on account of Saddam's reckless aggression.
France and russia have taken up a stance of appeasement that rivals that they used for Hitler in Nazi-Germany. There are some poeple right now, veterans of war, that risked their lives in order to free and liberate the people of France through the invasion of the Normandy shores. those same people, if alive, might go back to France and throw down their medals on account of France's inability to see the truth, see history, and learn from it. Anti-war protestors live in some self-righteous Utopia. I would like to see these people stand up for anything outside of prostituting themselves through drugs and nakedness. It's almost sickening that they can not stand behind our boys in Kuwait, who right now, are fighting for Freedom. Truthfully, does it matter what the leaders think our country is doing? The United States is a democratic system that was, as you will recall, made for the people and by the people. The American soldiers, the American Special Forces, the American Navy, The American Air Force are fighting today in Iraq for your Freedom. .
They are fighting for the liberties and justices that we have been so quick to ignore in the past years. That we have been so quick to take for granted. Those people are fighting for the 3,000 brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers of America that died because of a man who had funding from Saddam Hussein. A man that criticized the U.S. because they did not follow through with what they started. This is America's chance to make up for the casualties that were caused, in part, because of their ignorance in the past. America needs to stand its ground as a country, as sa lifestyle, and as a set of moral code that has allowed its people to be free, has allowed its people to walk roads paved with gold, and has even allowed its people to speak freely and without guilt or fear about the faults its citizens and leaders have committed. There are issues that are inherent to a war that need ot be addressed, like refugees, world relationships and world economies, but if for nothing but the principles. . The corpus that we run our lives by, then this is a war, a liberation and Freedom that is worth fighting for.

Wrong. Nuclear fallout can occur to such a degree that if a bomb was dropped in Missouri , Illinois, or Michigan, from which I am much farther than 70 miles, I would be at a severe risk of radiological poisoning and possibly death.
