I think the costume idea is brilliant. It potrays a 'cheap' attempt to advertise a great game, and it's much more funnier than if it was done in CG.

And who can forget the Super Smash Bros. commercial? Having all of Nintendo's greatest achievements dressed up in tacky costumes, skipping through a meadow only to beat each other up is genius. Best commercial ever.
