I've never liked France. I don't support the war either, but vetoing the damn resolution is like backstabbing a friend.

They're trying to get back at us:
1)They helped in our revolution, further putting them in debt.
2)Our revolution made them think they could pull of the same thing, fucking up their whole society, with lots of nobles killed.
They want revenge.

Americans can be so stupid sometimes. Honestly, replacing 'French' just 'cause of France is ludicrous. It's just like how they replaced German words back in WWI.

France is vetoing it because almost all of their oil comes from Iraq, and they think that we just want to take it over so we can over charge people for oil. We talk about this almost every day in French class. They aren't the only ones who are going vote 'no'. Russia is voting 'no' as well. I think the whole "freedom fries" thing is crap. Just because the French dont support the war, doesn't mean that we should take off thier name from a food that isn't even French. French fries originated in Belgium. While they do speak French there, they also speak German and like 1 or 2 other languages I can't think of right now.
