i dont judge people by there nationality or thier skin color or the way they talk. its really not okay.

in order for me to search some body i think i would definetly need a good reason why. like this guy had some thing under neat his clothes everytime he tuned you could see about half of it. then i would search em other wise its pretty stupid.

im not gonna say I judge people by the color of thier skin or anything like that.. because in all honesty.. I really don't believe that is fair..

but if im in Sunset park, where I work.. and I see 3+ Hispanics between the ages of 17 to 25 year old.. Imma cross the f'n street.. I got a gun pulled up on me once just trying to go to the damn pizzaria.. im not stupid enough to make the same mistake twice..

its not profiling, its common sense.. and this is coming from a hispanic (it doesn't matter what type you are... a weapon knows not a skin color or nationality)..

hell I won't even chill with my friend by his house simply because he lives in Flatbush (really ghetto neighborhood) I don't believe in Racism.. but im not stupid.. any person who believes that profiling is unfounded.. is dillusional..

Alright, let's put it this way, if it was white teenage girls who were bombing places all the time, I'd expect them to search me before they search an elderly black man.
Now, I'm not in any way saying that it's ok to see somebody and go "Hey, you're arab, let's search you!" But if there is an aparent threat somewhere, doesn't it make sense to be most suscpicius of arab people? It's not a racist or hateful thing at all, it comes from the fact that statisticlly, an arab person is more likely to be the terrorist. It's completely ignorant to deny that fact. The vast majority of arab-american people are just as hurt by what's going on as any other American person. However, some are not. Basically all I'm saying is when there's a threat, it's most logical to look at the type of person most likely to be making that threat.
However, it is entirely not cool that the government now has the right to tap the phone lines of Arab people if they believe them to be a terrorist, etc. Those sort of things ARE infrigments on what America stands for.
For a completely non-racial example, if there's a thought that small weapons may be being carried into places on jewlery, who are you going to investigate first? The people with the post jewlry. It's logic.
The reason people think it's so wrong when it's racial is simply because it's racial and people are extremely touchy on that issue.

God, without racial profiling that shoebomber would have gotten passed security and now we would have another tradgedy to deal with.

Racial profiling should exist in environments not only in the industry of security and what not, but in other locales of that need improving. For instance, we have education, where people are racially targeted as being subgroups that are socioeconomically underprivileged, and therefore should be an aim for increasing Opportunity across the board.

It's a necessary evil, but also an unnecessary privilege.

True, without racial profiling instead of the shoebomber being searched, it could have been some 78 year old lady.

It sucks but its always gonna be there, everyone can do their part and not add to it ;)
