1- I agree with Nispo on this. someone who thinks that jews are behind 9/11 is either insane, or just uneeded by the world...bah. anyway, more serious..


i have a muslim friend who hated the jews, and thought we were cannibals (yes, cannibals) until she met me. ive gone to her mosque a few times, and shes gone to my temple.
she actually told me that theyre blaming the jews on this one; and let me clear up why theyre doing this:
for the past 5,000 years that we've been on the earth, we've been the people that the others blame for their misfortune. it was only a select group of people who HAPPENED to be muslim that did the attacks on 9/11, but the press has made the generalization "all muslims are terrorists." it isnt even remotely true. so to ease up the pain, the muslims are saying "The jews wanted this to happen, and they blamed it on us!"
the jews were blamed for many things in the past (the largest one being the death of christ). frankly, there arent many out there who arent completely anti-semetic that seem to do this.

just dont pay attention to the assholes. or spit in their face, and say that it was because of them that you had to eat your second favorite food last night for dinner, and not your favorite. then pretend to get mad, and never speak to them again. hahaha....

Ask him what kind of Muslim he is. If he is a Shiite, then he is a more radical Muslim, and part of the group that the people who bombed the towers are from. The Shiite make up a very little percentage of the Muslim population, but they are the radicals like Bin Laden and such. Most Muslims tend to be more accepting, but they still all have a grudge with the Jewish people over Israel and the Holy land. It's called Jihad (service to God), which is interpreted as holy war. They believe the Holy land should not be inhabited by the jews. They have been fighting with different people for the holy land. The Crusades in Europe were fought over Israel, and control went back and forth between the Muslims and the Europeans. People like Bin Laden believe that they are performing a jihad by bombing the US because of our culture and its influence on people. They also believe by killing themselves they will become martyrs, or people who died for a religious cause who are usually remembered as heroes. Well anyway, I would just avoid the topic with your friend. When people at my school start talking religion and crap I usually walk away because I am religious, but not nearly as much as the people here who base their life around it.
