On Lateralus the artwork on in inside cover is pretty much a drawn version of the whole CD. It shows a joruney going further and further into the human body, finding and becoming god. It adds onto the experience. Well, what do you know? Something else Tool has done that is innovative... it's made looking at the book inside the CD meaningful.
The point is, while it may not be incredibly new, it isn't seen in half of the bands these days especially in the mainstream. And the fact that I like that they do that, is simply a statment.
