Tonight is Bonfire Night!
Yep. If you get on a ferry at North Sydney, Nova Scotia and Cross over to Port Aux Basques (For those who don't know, it's in NewfoundLand), the minute you steps off the boat, you'll probably see smoke. Why?
Because tonight is Bonfire Night!! For those who donot know, Bonfire Night is when people in NewfoundLand go off and gather all their scrap paper, fallen tree branches, some wood, useless stuff, boxes, etc... and go off someplace and have a huge bonfire. We're having a miniature bonfire at our house right now, although it's only inside since parents didn't want to light a fire outside where it could be bigger. We're still having a fire, even though we don't live in NewfoundLand right now. ;) We heard it on the radio in St. John's today that Bonfire Night was tonight, Novemeber 5th.
Anyone here had a bonfire before? I did... it was huge.

Pretty much. In Newfoundland on this night, many people go around having bonfires. Me father used to have many of them when he was growing up, or so he told me. We don't have them every year, but we have had some before, just not on this night exactly.

Yeah, sure.
Actually, it's pretty cool having bonfires. But it isn't to pollute the air, even though it does happen. Basically, it's for enjoyment and for some guy who did something, I'd have to look it up again. It's a tradition in NewfoundLand though.

One time me and my friend did that and accidentally lit his house on fire!

Sounds interesting, if you pollute any air down here, you'll get it...

I doubt any pollution would get all the way down there. ;)
It is interesting, and really fun. Just don't try roasting marshmallows, unless you like them REALLY well done.

Yeah, but I still doubt you'll get any.
At least you won't be getting any from me, since I lives all the way in Alberta right now.
