Hugh Downs and 20/20 seem to think Straight Edge is a violent group of terrorists.
I know this article is old, but I just reread it and it discustes me. Why are they labeling such a positive thing as terrorism? Yes, I admite there are some miliatant straight edge kids who are insane and I'd even call terrorists... but that's such a small percent it's not really comparable.
Wow... 20/20 sucks... They overexagerate everything. Although I like Those 'Give Me A Break' things, since the guy who does this is a libertarian. Rock on.

Man, my interpretation of someone who is Straight-Edged was TOTALLY different from that.

I'm straight edge and completely non-violent... all being straight edge says about a person is they don't do drugs, don't drink, don't smoke, and don't sleep around. It's doesn't have anything to do with your politics or how violent you are!

WTF, that doesn't make it sense. It's the first time I've heard of the group and what he's saying is just crap.

Oh corse they do... Makes for better stories. What are more people going to watch - a story on kids with a healty life style... or a store of kids with a healthy lifestyle and a serious supioriority complex with violent tendencies? Hmmm... Yeah, he based the story on a slight amount of thruth... the fact that he was able to find a miliatant straight edge kid to interveiw amazing me though.
