It allows you to make one of your topics be "sticky" always on top of the forum lists ;)

Ah I see. Why do we have to spend goop for it? Shouldn't this be something we should have the option of doing? (like we do with subscribing to a thread) And damn that's a lot of goop to do something so insignificant.

no cuz then the first dozen pages will never change and mods are only alowed to do it think the whole page with immovable threads
