Somehow my computer doesnt have sound anymore and I tried to reinstall it by using the cd and still no progress. Any ideas how to fix the problem? Yes if you want to be a smartass I did turn on the speakers ;)

Upgrade to Windows XP. Or get a new sound card.

Thats my next step, but I wanted to see if I could fix the problem before pitching out alot of money to go anther route.

The only other thing I would do before going out and buying something is to find new drivers for your sound card.

Either your soundcard blew out. (Which is impossible to fix unless you get a new one)

Or your sound options aren't highlighted, (like check your Control Panel > Sounds (or something) > ... check those options to see if everything is set right.
