Still, Heavy should not have to equal NC-17. And it doesn't in Hollywood, but it does in indie film. L.I.E. was a heavy but amazing film too, but was completely ungraphic is just about every aspect - It wasn't violent, you don't see much sex, and there's not even a lot of swearing. I keep meaning to see Requiem, although I'd probablly go for the unrated versian... Director's cuts are always best.

So I'm guessing L.I.E. shouldn't have deserved that rating? I might go to Blockbuster and check it out sometime...

Nope, it didn't at all. It had some mature subject matter though... It's about a teenager who's bored with life and begins questioning his sexuality... He starts breaking into houses with these kids around the neighbourhood and they break into the house of a guy named Big John, and he's a pedophile. It's disturbing and harsh... but it's not graphic at all in any aspect. The edited versian of the movie is R-rated, but the unedited is now sound as "unrated" becuase they surrendered the rating. I'm going to check out Requiem... I think I've seen it played on HBO before but never watched it. I'll do that...

LOL... What's it actually about? I know it's something about drugs... but that's about it.

Well, there's this guy and his name is Harry, I think. He does a lot of drugs and the movie opens up with him stealing his mother's TV to pawn it. She's crying, etc... and then later on his friend and him start making these bigger drug deals and then this just gets bigger.

Meanwhile, Harry's mother watches this TV show because it's basically all she's got and she has dreams of going on TV...

And then, Harry's girlfriend is getting more and more wrapped up with the drugs...

and they all work themselves into a downward cycle and the ending sequence is SOOOOO freaky...

I just read a review of it on IGN just to see how they reviewed it, they showed a picture of his arm towards the end *shudders*
