a really simple question..
ok..what tool in PS7 do you use to make the edges all cool like in my sig?? and how do you make it transparent like that?? yes this is such a n00b question ^_^

its not a tool.. you gotta first set up the work space in a transparant (you get a choice when you select new file)
and then you have to save the file as a GIF and it will remain transparant if you save it any other way, you'll most probably get a white fill up

you can also save it as a .png file, which I prefer, since gifs sometimes mess up the quality a bit. To make the edges, all you have to to is cut out the portions you want to be missing.

lol, seriously, I usually use gif, but on the metroid sig I made, the gif made the bg and visor slightly grainy no matter what settings I used.

Either eraser tool or lasso tool.

there is another technique.. which is simpler and alot more accurate.. but it requires paint to make the shape.. basically its what I do to make all of my shapes.. nice and smooth
