I hope that the spam cuts back some, I have found myself having to lock more and more topics, simply because they were spammy.
Also many threads start out on one topic and end up on a completely different one, this isn't a problem, but most of the time it turns out to be very spammy.

Spam is a problem everywhere, and is something that is impossible to control. The reason for it being so rampant is that it is much easier to type a simple meaningless response, instead of a well thought out post, most of the time, longer posts are also ignored. I must admit, I have spammed before, but I only do it because I think it won't hurt, or that I simply don't feel like writing a response.

Well, hopefully the situation can improve, and if not, we'll have to see what we will do.

I think I asked this before, but I'm not sure what the answer was..

Could a penalty for spamming be subtracting Goop? Each post gets you like 5 points or something, so maybe if it is really noticeable that the person is spamming, there could be like a 100 point penalty for each offense. I'm not sure if this sounds like a good idea at all, but it would be less severe than a ban, and the members wouldn't revolt as much against it: They would simply try to stop, for fear that more Goop would be taken away.

Well, I just mean, they are the only ones doing anything that might be called spam.. The whole forum is kinda getting blamed here.

Like I said earlier, I'm not making topics anymore, so that cuts down on some of my spam..

That isn't a bad idea, but I doubt that anyone would want to keep editing someone's goop whenever they spam, it would be a pain in the ass.

Well that is true..but I think most people post lots to get stuff from the store (God Ive been here for a while, and new people have glowed usernames) So perhaps maybe the store prices could be lowered a bit it might reduce spamming...(and ill get my glow )
