NBA Season Picks Thread - Video Games Forum

Who do you pick to be the best team in the NBA this year? Defending champs lakers? eastern conference kings the nets? Or some other team.

I am going with the magic, t mac and hill are gonna run the NBA :-)

Ill post all my picks later.

I got the Kings. There is no way the Lakers wil beat em this year. The Kings are better than eva. Gotta go wit da Kings.
The Wizards might make something magical if they can eva get da offense to work.

I think that if Shaq is healthy, the Lakers will be unbeatable because he is by far their leader. If Kobe can't lead the Lakers past the Cavaliers, then I don't think they could even come close to beating the Kings. It all depends on Shaq. If he's playing, Lakers will beat the Kings in six and go on to take the Nets in five. If Shaq isn't healthy, then the Lakers will drop to something like a six seed, maybe not even make the playoffs, and the Kings will reign as the kings of the Western Conference, and battle with the Nets in what would be the first good NBA Finals matchup since the '98 Bulls vs. Jazz series, which has to be one of the best all time, and I even hate both of those teams...

I want the Raptors to win... But I don't think they will.

So, unfortunately, the Lakers will win again.

Screw da damn Lakers. Ur either wit them or against them. I'm against them. I used to love Shaq, Penny Hardaway, and Nick Anderson out in Orlando. But now I can't stand Shaq. All he does is talk garbage. They are definently gonna lose to da Kings. I gurrantee it.

The Lakers will bounce back from their 2-5 start. Their opening 7 games just shows everybody that Kobe isn't a leader and they are nothing without Shaq. So I say, if I were the Kings, I'd intentionally hurt Shaq in a game. Sure, you'd get majorly fined, but you'd take one for the team and get yourself into the NBA Finals for the first time in Sacramento.

With shaq out all it's costing the lakers is homecourt advantage, and they don't need it :-) except against sacramento.

hopefully kings knock them out, cuz then the magic or nets could beat kings IMO

Once everyone is healthy for the Kings they will be unstopable. The East dosen't even matter. The West just kicks the East's ass all over the place. The Nets might make it interesenting in the finals but other than that...

You're right, Ali. Every West playoff team is better than any East team. The NBA Finals once again this year will be the Western Conference Finals; the winner will get a sweep of the Nets. The Eastern Conference hasn't brought home the NBA Title since the Bulls last won in 1998.
