The speakers are plugged in, so I'm assuming the soundcard isnt registering. When I check the control panel and multimedia, all the options are grayed out. Can anyone help me out?

Ive had the prob for like 3 weeks. Restarting doesn't work.

Update your soundcard drivers, what kind of card is it? Do you know?

Throw your PC out the window, then buy a new one. Oh, and that sort of thing happened to me once... Have you tried [u}shutting down[/u] (not restarting)?
