Massive Air Strikes in Iraq
At around 9 PM in Baghdad, US forces began literally, bombing the hell out of them. If you haven't seen it on TV yet, CNN and MSNBC have really great coverage, repeating the airstrikes. This operation is called "Shock and Awe," and I think it worked. The Pentagon and the White House both had briefings this afternoon, with Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Gen. Myers at the Pentagon, and some other guy at the White House.
Many more targets are expected to be hit through the remainder of the day.

I'm thinking that the Shock and Awe campaign hasn't occurred yet. They said it would involve the targeting of over 100 sites.

I think the real big strikes are going to happen around noon Baghdad time...that's middle of the night for the rest of us.
