i see awesome backgrounds on sigs, like speedy1's, how do u make them?

Its not that hard making Backgrounds. All you have to do is play around with the tools, effects and filters of photoshop or any other program.

Made that BG by scribbling all over the canvas, then using the smudge tool>ripple and twirl effect>difference clouds and thats it.
as for my current sig i got a default gradient in PSP. some distort effects like ripple and then used a filter.
