Capcom Launches Fear Hotline for UK Gamers:
Capcom has been putting out the Resident Evil games for years now, with Resident Evil Zero due out in the UK tomorrow, Capcom has admitted that some may need help coping with the fear.
Capcom announced today that they are launching a help line for those who need help coping with the fear and anxiety that Resident Evil may cause. Weird? Keep reading.
The help line can be reached at 08700 46 55 20, and plays soothing music along with a two minuet scripted message from a shrink (AKA Psychologist). The soothing voice lets gamers know that when they are in their beds, and they hear bumps in the night, "it's never the guy in the mask," . The message reminds people that Resident Evil Zero is a work of fiction, and none of the characters are real.
What's even funnier, Ben Le Rougetel, a Capcom
PR employee, had this to say:
"It's our duty to look after our consumers properly, Resident Evil Zero is a ridiculously scary game. We want players to know help is at hand if they become too frightened. The phone line's message is simple: it's important to realize that this is just a game. Fear is all the mind, and that's what we want our players to remember.
