There you can download the free trial of Animation Shop. I found it! Enjoy, expect a long download. Last time it was about 2 hours on 56k. Hopefully it'll be faster this time.

I just use Photoshop, then stick them together using either UnFREEz or Babarosa GIF Animator.

I've tried that before. Its pretty fun. But it doesn't have a lot of effects, and its hard to put those images into a game, you know?
