I just got rid of AOL, good idea? - Video Games Forum

I had AOL on 56k and sometimes on 28.8k when I'm on my old computer. I however collapsed under all the **** and got MSN Broadband. How do I cancel AOL? I tried to get their customer service number to cancel and its no where to be found this is what happened when I called one number:

AOL: Hello, this is AOL Customer Service how may I help you?
Me: Hi, is this the help line.
AOL: Yes
Me: I would like to cancel my account.
AOL: We don't do that, I'm sorry let me transfer you.

*hangs up after waiting 15 minutes*

uh I just quit them to but I have 5 more days left to stay with them. ill give u the number as soon as I find the aol thing that has the number

Don't call the god damned password hotline they will just go all out and "transfer" you resulting in a 20 minute wait.

yes broadband does rule, my friend is a moron though he says he onlye gets 35kb a sec with broadband....you get better then taht with 56k..mine gets around 120-up..

I don't know. I forgot what number it was to cancel the service. Canceled AOL at the beginning of summer and not going back.

My buddy drworthless tried cancelling AOL almost a year ago, and they keep giving him more and more free months to try to have him change his mind.

Aol has always performed ****ty for me so I switch to Juno Web and everything is moving along great.
